I'm only 4 weeks into hip replacement recovery so I have not been released by the doctor to make fishing trips that would let me evaluate extensive use of the steps. However I did the installation and several practice accents and desents getting in and out of the boat w;hile it was in storage. Everything worked fine.

The first time I put the boat on the trailer this year by myself that I didn't have to jump over the side of the boat. I climbed down the stairs hooked up the winch rope and chain safety. If you go fishing alone these stairs are great. These stairs will last forever as you will find out when you take them out of the box and find out you will need help to get them installed.

My wife and I installed them today and I must say they are well constructed and quite heavy but we got them on. I was pleased to find how easy it was to board my boat, I’m 78 years young. The steps are heavy duty and beautifully manufactured. I especially like to option to quickly and easily remove and replace the bottom step should you desire. Installation was about 15 minutes. I especially like that the steps are welded as one piece rather than having to be assemble with bolts that would not be nearly so sturdy. Love the service as I called and ordered on Thursday afternoon around 4:00 ESST and received the steps on Saturday morning..

Well constructed and powder coated. The reason I did the custom order was to have a good fit. I personally feel the top step and handle are not close enough to top cap of my hull. I’m only 60 and didn’t purchase for my inability to get in and out of this boat, but for convenience. Just my opinion main tube should be 3” shorter in length.

Why did I wait so long to buy these steps?? I’m 67 with bad knees and arthritis in one foot and have struggled getting in and out of my boat. I finally got them in a few days ago and the install was VERY easy! The quality of the welds and the baked on finish are excellent. Makes getting in and out of my boat painless! As I've gotten older I have a history of NOT being able to assemble or put things together correctly. I watched the video's and didn't have a problem. The best experience for me was the customer service though! It didn't take long for my steps to arrive also. Ecellent quality addition to my new boat. Joe was very helpful in answering all my questions. Also ordered the trick lock. Had a issue with ine side bolt and treads. Contacted Joe explained problem and he said he would ship a new one as soon as they get some new ones in around March 21. Like I said top notch customer service and product.

As I'm not getting any younger, I realized I was having more and more trouble stepping from the trailer tongue onto the deck of my 13 year old Skeeter. Getting off the bow onto the tongue was even more risky. Not any more! The only difficulty I had was balancing the steps on my leg while getting the bolts in. Sturdy, well built, and looks great. Kudos, Trick Step, for a quality product!
